Today, take a minute to think about those who gave you your freedom and continue to preserve it.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
~John McCrae
We hiked to the Rhododendron Sanctuary, and found beautiul Mt. Laurel starting to bloom.
Dragonflies and a butterflies next to Mt. Misery Booke in Pachaug.
Headed to Providence to explore the Providence Children’s Museum- what a cute little place.
We bought a membership that will allow admission to some other Children’s Museums we have been wanting to go to.
This will compliment our Boston MOS Membership, which gets us into local zoo’s.
The boys had so much fun. Kaleb and Jakob enjoyed the Waterway and Air Tube Exhibits the most.
Before leaving the city, we had to stop for some gaggahs.
Sooo good! If you happen to call them hot dogs, you will be corrected.
Kaleb had his pre-k screening in March. I really dislike the 30 minutes they have with your child in a room with other children.
How can you really “see” the child. I am hoping that they will accept him into the 4 day a week class, which will bring him into kindergarten when I would like him to go.
It may be tough being a December baby.
We will see!
No, we are not Irish (well, maybe an ounce..), but we can still celebrate:
First signs of Spring
Swans invade…
